Your Work - Your Mission Base
See yourself as sent to your workplace for a purpose. And then find out the
good works you should be busy doing.
For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. Ephesians2:10.
Find your creative edge and use it for God's glory. Pour your heart, time and energy into it so that it declares and displays the excellence of God. You can be influential by simply doing whatever good work your hands find to do. And, do it with an excellent attitude. This is the greatest witness you can be. Your words should follow your works.
Let your light so shine that they may see your good works and glorify your father in heaven. Matthew 5:16
And then, let your words be sweet, savoury and compelling.
Where do you start?
What are the objectives of your workplace? What is important to them? What is their bottom line on the corporate or team level? Keep these in focus as you work and fulfil your role - big or small, in such a way that it feeds into the objectives and helps move the organisation or team forward.
Be a Joseph.
Joseph was as a successful man even though he was a slave estranged from his family and homeland. It was not an ideal situation, but Joseph prospered despite the injustices and challenges he faced. His good works and attitude spoke volumes that earned him favour and promotion.
Yes, favour attracts opposition. But just like Joseph, as you continue doing the right thing with the right attitude, it will eventually turn around and work in your good.
